Starting on June 27th, eMusic will be offering the advance download of "Lucid Dream", the new album by Carey Ott, prior to the release date of October 31st. You'll also be able to download two exclusive bonus tracks for free that won't be available anywhere else! "Lucid Dream" features the track "Am I just One" which was featured twice on the popular ABC TV show, Grey's Anatomy this season.

6/23/06 - Greetings All! Carey's sojourn with Thomas Dolby went very well. Played in front of over 4000 people in 10 days. Made a lot of friends. Sold CD's/T-shirts and ate a lot of morning after trout, cheese and wild berries. Check out this site for many crazy pics. Here's a look at a couple of our Favs. A very good experience playing with the person who brought electronica music to sophistication and the main stream. We even compiled a little video from the road, check it out at youtube.com or myspace. Please make sure and review/rate the video for us.


Recent highlights were the gigs at The Mercy / May 27 celebrating "Next Big Nashville" and opening up for Matt Pond PA / June 8 and “Ascap Rocks The Basement” / June 12 which Carey headlined. Great to have the new band lineup locked in and a tip of the hat to Satchel - bass / vox, Kai - keys / vox and Nate - drums.


Amongst all of this Carey has been writing and producing in his home studio. Besides forming relationships with several major Nashville-based songwriters, Carey also recently wrote a very cool song with noted #1 songwriter, Universal's Amy Foster Gillies. A new twist for Carey in mainstream writing which has impressed everyone who has listened to it. A recent session with the Chicago singer- songwriter Tristen turned heads immediately upon first listen.
