Hello Everyone!
I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to say HEY for awhile. The floods have hit Nashville (along with much of Middle Tennessee) and it has been pretty crazy around here. Lori and I have been lucky. No flood damage to us. A few friends got hit, but are holding up just fine. Sad to see all these good people lose so much in an instant. Not just belongings and homes, but more than 30 LIVES have been lost in this flood as well.
We'll all pull through this TOGETHER. That is the message here. This is Nashville.
It's been really inspiring thus far, to see all the people step up and help out their friends and families and neighbors in need. In times like these you really have to take stock of what you have, and what is really important to you. Prioritize. Be grateful. Help others anyway you can. Disaster or no disaster.
Because it's the right thing to do.
And I am learning to NEVER take anything or anyone I love for granted. I know I am truly BLESSED. And I appreciate all you wonderful people and all the folks that I'm fortunate enough to call my friends and family.
It does make me feel a little strange, I must admit...asking y'all for pledges to make a record, when so many families are devastated right now. And I know there's only 28 days left to go on this Pledgemusic campaign, and we're only at 25%, but I believe that anything is possible. If each one of you who reads this, copies and forwards...
Please help Carey Release His Next Record, "Human Heart"
www.pledgemusic.com/projects/careyott ...to 5 of your friends...good things could happen. We could still get there.
I recently texted the word "REDCROSS" to 90999, and donated $10 to Flood Relief. It was easy. You could do that as well if you wanted to help out the Nashville flood recovery effort.
So if you haven't already, maybe you want to pledge $10 here for my HUMAN HEART project download, AND $10 to the Red Cross for flood relief. Or maybe you've been blessed with GREAT FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE and you want to give more. Or maybe you're one of those folks who's down, but not out. Wherever life finds ya, know that I love ya, and would you please say a little prayer for Nashville...and for all the flood victims across Middle Tennessee.
Thanks,
Carey
